What Collagen Can Do For Your Joints

joint+ for your health

"Our client, Mrs. May Brady, a retired dentist of age 80, has had many problems in her joints, knees, back, hands. Especially difficult was getting up from a sitting position, and walking was very uncomfortable. Also she is a very fine embroiderer, and was having difficulty with this.
Within 2 weeks of starting BioCell Collagen, she was walking with no difficulty, able to rise from sitting position smoothly. She is glowing, excited, and repeats 'It's a miracle!' as she stands on one foot and repeatedly lifts her other knee to show off her new flexibility.
She and her husband recently left for three weeks in Thailand. In March they will sail to Argentina, and in July they will go to the North Pole on an ice-cutter expedition. So you can tell how important your product is to keep them 'on the move.' Thank you."

This is just one of the many stories from the people who have noticed a dramatic change in their life after taking collagen. More specifically, the collagen complex that we have included in our Joint+ supplement. What is this complex and why is it special?

BioCell Collagen is a science based, clinically tested dietary ingredient that promotes active joints, youthful looking skin, and healthy connective tissues. Unlike other collagen and hyaluronic acid ingredients on the market, BioCell Collagen contains a patented composition of naturally occurring hydrolyzed collagen type II, chondroitin sulfate, and hyaluronic acid in a highly absorbable matrix form that has been the subject of numerous human clinical trials including safety, efficacy, and bioavailability.

BioCell Collagen utilizes a patented Bio-Optimization™ process which ensures remarkable bioavailability as well as rapid absorption into the body. More than 20 clinical studies including five human clinical trials on BioCell Collagen support its effectiveness and safety in promoting joint health and skin beauty.

It is important to note that not all collagen ingredients are created equal. There are several collagen supplements available in the market that lack clinical evidence and that have a very different molecular makeup than BioCell Collagen. Collagen in its native or unhydrolyzed form has a large molecular structure making it difficult for the body to absorb and utilize. Furthermore, many other collagen supplements do not have the synergistic benefit of naturally occurring HA and chondroitin sulfate like BioCell Collagen does. BioCell Collagen undergoes a patented manufacturing process, which significantly reduces the molecular size to a specific range that allows for easy absorption, fast action, and effective results. Our unique composition has been granted patent protection and has undergone human clinical trials proving its efficacy.

Our Joint+ supplement not only includes BioCell Collagen, but also glucosamine HCl and chondroitin sulfate.

glucosamine for joint health

Glucosamine in the body is used to make a "cushion" that surrounds the joints. In osteoarthritis, this cushion becomes thinner and stiff. Taking glucosamine hydrochloride as a supplement might help to supply the materials needed to rebuild the cushion. Glucosamine is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract with oral administration, rapidly undergoes metabolism via the liver and the first pass effect, and is eliminated through the feces and urine. Glucosamine also contributes to the slippery consistency of the liquid within most joints, called synovial fluid, which acts as lubrication. Thus, reduced production of glucosamine, which becomes significant at the age of 50, leads to stiff, condensed cartilage and reduced viscosity in synovial fluid.

Chondroitin for joints

Chondroitin is a natural substance found in the human body and a major component of cartilage, which helps build connective tissue throughout the body, including those that form joints and the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Because it works by retaining water, it helps add lubrication and flexibility to tissue and joints. When found in supplement form, it can either be derived naturally from the cartilage of animals (including cows, pigs or sharks) or man-made. Either way, it is a necessary component in your joint health!

Because we believe in the healing properties of natural foods, we've also included an herbal blend comprising of turmeric, frankincense, and achyranthes.

turmeric for joints

Turmeric is a spice that is commonly used in Asian food. You probably know turmeric as the main spice in curry. It has a warm, bitter taste and is frequently used to flavor or color curry powders, mustards, butters, and cheeses. However, the root of turmeric is also used widely to make medicine. It contains a yellow-colored chemical called curcumin, which is often used to color foods and cosmetics. Curcumin and other chemicals in turmeric might decrease swelling (inflammation). Because of these properties, turmeric is a favorite go-to for anti-inflammation treatments.

frankincense for joint health

Frankincense has natural anti-inflammatory properties that can help to reduce inflammation, pain, and stiffness. It also has demonstrated positive immune system effects. It also possesses analgesic properties- meaning it aids in pain relief. Frankincense has also been shown to prevent cartilage loss as well. Frankincense is, therefore, is very useful to help with joint inflammation.

achyranthes

Achyranthes has been used for centuries in China to strengthen tendons and bones, alleviate back pain, and providing pain relief in the joints and muscles. People use it in the west to relieve pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. All together, it is an effective herb for anti-aging formulations.
